Due to rescent events, I will no longer be personally taking in animals at this time but I will be participating and helping Shelby with the rescue. You can still email me if you need assistance.
I am 20 years old. I have an 11 month old daughter and I am engaged to a wonderful man. I am a HUGE animal lover and have been since I was a little girl. I remember being 4 years old at my next door neighbors, laying on the floor, staring at the alligator lizards and asking my mom to "sick her finger in there, let it bite her, then pull it out" haha. I lived on a horse ranch for about 6 years and we had a barn cat that would always catch little animals such as baby bunnies and birds and I would always take them from the cat and try and nurse them back to health(usually unsuccessfully). When I was about 13 I saved a brand new baby kitty from the inside of a spare tire at my dads work. I got up every 3-4 hours and bottle fed this poor thing, wiped its butt with a wet napkin to make it potty, clean it with a warn wash cloth... took place of a kitty mom. Well I guess it was already sick, thats why the mom moved the rest of the litter and left that one because to my dismay, the little kitty did not make it. I was devastated because I had been mom to this little kitten for over a week and was already very attached. So that is a few little blurbs about part of my childhood animal experience. As far as professional experience, I worked at a pony rides and petting zoo place called Williams Western Round Up. There I was expected to feed all animals, clean all cages and pens, handle and work with all animals as well as ride the horses and ponies to make all animals child safe. I was also expected to be knowledgeable enough about all our animals to answer any questions the kids or parents had about them. The animals I worked with there were horses, ponies, miniature horses(I have been riding, training and competing horses since I was 9... but I will go ino that later), sheep, goats, pigs, cows, donkeys, mini donkeys, turkeys, chickens, gees, ducks, rabbits and lamas. I worked there for a little under a year, was one of their best employees and the only reason I no longer work there is because the business closed. I also have been riding horses for many years and have owned a few and done and competed in almost all disciplines. I also worked as an assistant trainer. There I was expected to be albe to do everything the trainer could including work the horses from the ground and under saddle, break horses, school horses and give lessons. But none of that necessarily applies to this rescue. =] I also did some volunteer work for feral cat society, fostering a mom and litter and finding them homes as well as trapping feral cats and having them spayed and neutered as well as administering their shots and dewormers myself. On top of all of that, animals I have had as pets include, horses, dogs(boxers, pit bull mix, lab and chihuahua), cat, rats, mice, hamster, snakes(I used to have a king snake and a ball python and currently have a columbian red tial boa), alligator and blue belly lizards, bearded dragons, fish, rabbits, chickens, peacocks, frogs, toads and probably more that I cannot remember off the top of my head. But, if I have not owned it, I have probably handled or at least been around it. So I believe I am well qualified to run this rescue. If you would like to know any more, go ahead and contact me =]

I have ever animal imaginable.I am very knowledgeable in parrots and birds,equine,farm animals and small animals. I currently live in lakeside on a little farm. I have rabbits, horses, GOATS, sheep, a pig, dogs, cavies, birds, cats and much more! I have 2 jobs I work at a Stable working with horses and kids and I am also a vet asst at El Cajon Valley Vet hospital. I have tons of animal experience and love animals with all my heart.
